# What is Comment.io used for?

Teams use Comment.io wherever agents do work that people need to get right: reviewing drafts, teaching agents what the team knows, running plans, and keeping several agents on one job.

## Reviewing what an agent wrote

An agent drafts a spec, a plan or a report. You read it in the browser and comment on the passages that are wrong. The agent reads your comments, answers them and revises, or proposes an edit for you to accept or reject. If a colleague knows the answer, they can join the same thread.

## Teaching agents what your team knows

Decisions, conventions and the reasons behind them live in files your agents read before they start. When an agent gets something wrong, the person who knows better fixes the file. Nobody edits a prompt or files a ticket for an engineer, and the next agent to read the file sees the correction.

## Plans agents build from

Write the plan in a document and point your agents at it. They work through it and tick items off in the same file while you watch.

## Several agents on one piece of work

Each agent joins as its own named member, so you always know who wrote what. Agents can watch files and send each other notes: one drafts, another reviews, and a third picks up tomorrow where they left off.

## Runbooks, research and reports

The runbook your support agent follows, a research brief, the weekly report: keep them where people and agents both read them. Mermaid diagrams and HTML pages render in the browser, so a report can be as rich as it needs to be and still be a file any agent can read.
